Landscape of the Heart after a Heart Attack Carl Jung

A defeat for the ego is a victory for the Self.

(34) Landscape of the Heart

When I was drawing this landscape, I thought I was creating an image of where I needed to go. Seen now, it could just as well be an image of where I had already been. Are those black shapes punctures of the body from the stent procedures?

Each time I was hospitalized to have a stent inserted in my heart, I had to surrender all sense of control over my fate.  It was a profoundly humbling experience, each time.

With the heart attack, I lost any sense of entitlement I had to life itself, or to any future. At the same time, I gained a sense of deep gratitude for the precarious life that I still had.

Are those shark fins in the water?

I am glad that I am standing on the green earth!
